My review:

Campbell & Scott
Campbell ran from Durango, Colorado a year ago and only her mom and brother know where she is. She is finally ready to go back to college and signs up for American Lit, where she meets Scott. But it turns out she already knows of him from working with his sister, Felicity.

Scott began his teaching career after he resigned from the military. He enjoys his job, but decides to apply for a new position that will give him less paperwork and more time at home. He was such a devoted father to 5 year old, Peyton, who was absolutely adorable. He co-parents well with Peyton’s mom, Shannon, which was nice to see.

They both know they should stay away from each other, but can’t seem to. He’s putting his teaching career and possible promotion in jeopardy. I mean they only had to wait 14 weeks until the semester is over and then it would no longer be forbidden. Impossible, so they see each other in secret.

This was my favorite of the series. I loved their chemistry and their shared passion for reading. When Scott learned about her past he went into protective mode, which was cute. We meet the main character of the next book This Time It’s Forever, Ian, when he helps Campbell out with a situation. I’m looking forward to his and Felicity’s story.

Series notes:
Alyson and Jillian from book 1 and 2 are Campbell’s bosses, so they do make appearances. I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to read them first, but it would be more enjoyable.

Book blurb:

Will love be worth taking a huge risk?

Campbell Grey is getting her life back on track after escaping a difficult past. She has a job she loves, friends who have become family, and has returned to the college classroomā€”where she unexpectedly connects with handsome Scott, her literature professor.

Scott Mayhew has been alone for far too long. Though devoted to his daughter, family, and career, heā€™s ready to meet his match. But he never imagined a student would capture his attentionā€”thatā€™s not allowed. Still, the sparks he and passionate, beautiful Campbell share canā€™t be ignored.
