THANK YOU
Thank you for joining us on For My Sins’ journey as it leaves the nest. It’s the standalone book
III of The David Trilogy, that has developed over twenty years and nurtured a spinoff series,
The Fallen Angel Series (David was too popular a character to put down! I know, I know, I’m
a sucker for a pretty face and a gifted mind).

ABOUT
Over the years, with the help of his edible good looks, vast inheritance, and incorrigible sass,
David has grown into a seasoned criminal. In For My Sins we find him escaping prison to
complete the final kill on his revenge list.
With a target on his back and time running out he joins forces with Moira, a feisty female MI6
operative, two ex-con hackers, and a rogue police unit, to close down a high-profile
international sex-trafficking ring and protect the love of his life. But someone has other ideas
for him. As ever, everyone wants a piece of delicious David, until they get it, and run fast.

INSPIRATION
The inspiration for David’s trilogy came from my time at a nuns boarding school, a few
criminals crossing my path, my time as a police crime investigator, and my passion for
romance, humour, jaw-dropping twists, and justice.

FAVOURITE
My favourite characters within For My Sins are Moira for her balls, and David for his
confidence. They both know their worth and are sexy as hell. I also love happy-flappy
hairdresser Anton for his humorous banter in times of death and destruction. We all need an
Anton in our lives.

CHALLENGES
The challenging writing moments in For My Sins were when dealing with the more harrowing
topics covered in some of the storylines. I was careful to create the scenesthrough suggestion
rather than in-your-face detail, giving the topic respect without the reader feeling discomfort.
After ten years in police, I may have become hardened to crime, I had to be careful not to
hurt the light of heart. If you get to read book I, The Penance List, you’ll see I didn’t used to
be this kind. It’s in-your-face visualisation.

PERSONAL
I’m often asked if I have any personal connection to my storylines or characters. The answer
is broadly yes. Each series is triggered by something that I have experienced, been on the
borders of, or asked ‘why?’. I guess writing about events is healing, empowering, a way of
giving warning and protecting others. It also allows you to write with authority.

LEARNED
Through the writing of For My Sins I’ve learned that there is still a lot to be done to reduce
the silence around; abuse, criminal activity, misuse of power. And that social media is an
increasingly powerful ‘exposure’ tool to help make that happen. This may be why some
entities are currently trying to close down a few media apps, trying to stop populations
gaining knowledge, and in turn, the power to think for themselves.

TAKE AWAYS
The main ‘feels’ I wish for readers to take away from this book, and indeed all my books, is to
smile, laugh, be inspired, empowered, drop their jaw in shock, hold their breath in suspense,
and punch the air with a karmic ‘YES!’. My job is to entertain, I hope I do that, with knobs on!
Thank you for stopping by, David and I are off to work on the next, Already Dead. We hope to
see you there.😊
