My review:
Book 2 in the Kendall Beck series. I read The Wrong Woman a year ago, so I can’t really confirm if this is a true standalone. I am guessing it is since there are new cases.
FBI agent Kendall is back and teaming up with Adam the local detective on a kidnapping case.
I hate to love a missing child plot, but I can’t help it ~ this was a goodie. Adam’s niece goes missing and it’s a race against the clock to find her. I liked that each chapter gives us the timeline of how long she’s been missing. There was edge of your seat action and I know I am not the only one that’s going to be talking about that ending.
I was pleased with the narration by Erin DeWard for 9 hours and 51 minutes when she was doing her own voice, but her other tones were not great and sometimes distracting.
