My review:

Cassie and Erin met at a bar and had a little romp in the back seat of the rental. The next day they realize their mistake when they have breakfast together with Parker, Cassie’s best friend and Erin’s daughter.

Holy smokes with the steamage ~ I need a cold shower after this one. It took them a bit to get there but under all the chemistry there was a sweet love story too. Both Parker and Cassie were a bit immature at times, but still mostly likable. Acacia was a great bff/middle lady for both of them to have. I loved the way the epilogue wrapped everything up.

Narrated by Jeremy Carlisle Parker, Quinn Riley and Stephanie NĆ©meth-Parker for 11 hours 59 minutes and 36 seconds, easy to follow at 2x. Cassie’s narrator was on the slower side and I wish I could have sped her part up a little more.

I would very much be delighted to listen/read more from Meryl in the future.

*Thanks to Macmillan Audio, Meryl Wilsner and NetGalley for the advance audiobook. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*

Book blurb:

From the critically acclaimed author of Something To Talk About comes a sharp and sexy rom-com about a college senior who accidentally hooks up with her best friendā€™s mom.

When Cassie Klein goes to an off-campus bar to escape her schoolā€™s Family Weekend, she isnā€™t looking for a hookupā€”it just happens. Buying a drink for a stranger turns into what should be an uncomplicated, amazing one-night stand. But then the next morning rolls around and her friend drags her along to meet her momā€”the hot, older woman Cassie slept with.

Erin Bennett came to Family Weekend to get closer to her daughter, not have a one-night stand with a college senior. In her defense, she hadnā€™t known Cassie was a student when they’d met. To make things worse, Erinā€™s daughter brings Cassie to breakfast the next morning. And despite Erin’s better judgementā€”how could sleeping with your daughterā€™s friend be anything but bad?ā€”she and Cassie get along in the day just as well as they did last night.

What should have been a one-time fling quickly proves impossible to ignore, and soon Cassie and Erin are sneaking around. Worst of all, they start to realize they have something real. But is being honest about the love between them worth the cost?
