My review:
Ridge (31) & Addison (24) meet when heâs at a strip club and sheâs the stripper. Itâs lust at first sight and itâs a Marni book so the burn is fast as usual. But then he finds out what her day job is and now itâs a forbidden relationship.
I, honestly, didnât love the reason why she had to take on that second job. Like thatâs way too much money to waste on that, even if you have the best parents in the world. I get sheâs trying to do something nice, but thatâs a whole lotta moolah that could be better spent in my opinion, like maybe just on your student loans. She was a great character, though, and being a teacher was a perfect fit for her personality.
Ridge is a great dad to an adorably well behaved girl named Daisy. He and the ex have a pretty good co-parenting relationship, which was nice. Addison and Daisy also get on well, so I loved that.
Overall, they were both super sweet, except for that 1 time he was a fool. I liked that he was all in right away and fell first. No 3rd act breakup and communication is always a plus for me, too.
Narration notes:
A fabulous job by both

Book blurb:
A sizzling and swoony single dad, forbidden, billionaire romance from USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann âŠ
Captivated.
Addicted.
Mesmerized.
All the things I felt the minute I saw Addison Lark.
The last thing Iâd expected was to fall in love at a strip club.
But Addison was the woman of my dreams.
It didnât matter that I spent an obscene amount of money just to talk to her.
The fiery redhead made me feel things Iâd never felt before.
But she didnât want anything to do with me.
And she left without a backward glance.
Making me crave her even more.
Imagine my shock when we unexpectedly met again, presenting the most unexpected problemâAddison Lark was forbidden.
But did that stop me?
Did that stop us?
Iâd made a promise to start living my life, and I wasnât going to let that woman walk away for a second time.
