My review:

Tabitha has moved into a house she names Kevin in the woods of California. She’s lost all her friends because she’s an awful person.

This one took me by complete surprise. I’ve never read anything like it. Although Tabitha is a very toxic friend who only cares about herself and just throws money at things, I was totally invested in her life. She’s funny in a very dark way, so you’ll have to keep an open mind.

I suppose this is considered a monster romance, my first time with this genre, but it’s more a story about motherhood and doing what you think is ultimately right for your child.

Overall, this bizarre story will have you both laughing and wondering what the heck you’re reading.

Side note ~ I do have to say that I don’t like when cancer is lied about.

Book blurb:

WINNER OF THE 2023 BEST INDEPENDENT BOOK AWARD!

You’ve never seen a custody battle like this. After her posh Napa Valley friends expel her for committing an unspeakable betrayal, trustfundian underachiever Tabitha Eggs retreats to the redwood forests of Del Norte County, California to drink herself to death. But when she stumbles over two decomposing corpses near her new home—among a growing list of other frightening, unexplainable experiences—she’s convinced that walking into a raging wildfire is preferable to whatever waits in the woods. Her plans are foiled when she’s kept alive by a curious Sasquatch (who adores salad dressing and is overjoyed by luxury body wash), and they create a bizarre and everlasting union.
