My review:
Tess & Josh’s 5 year old daughter, Lily, was killed 9 months ago. Understandably, Tess is still grieving and sets her sights on Eve, the step daughter of the man that killed her daughter. She gives off a stalker vibe right away, which is what she is, but I thought it was going to go a different way than it did.
Tess is pretty unreliable, which leads her to make some pretty dumb choices and assumptions. Since it’s only told by her we can only go on what she thinks Josh’s feelings are, which doesn’t make him sound great at times. I felt a little bad for him. I haven’t been in her shoes, but Tess’s grief did seem realistic.
Eve goes missing and Tess is set up to take the fall. I liked the mystery leading up to this, but as far as the reasoning,Ā (view spoiler)
Overall, it was well written, but slow moving and the ending felt a bit abrupt to me, but perhaps it’s because the story will continue in If She Wakes.

I did not listen to this one, but am just giving the info above for reference.

Despite the issues, it sounds like it was a fairly good read.
It was!
Hmm! Not convinced that I’d enjoy this one but then never say never.
