I am delighted to be on the blog tour today ~ thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for organizing.
My review:
This book is geared towards 3-7 years and I think thatās the perfect age to play pretend.
From the very first page, of Buddyās close up nose, I felt like he was speaking directly to me. There were some great ways for interaction like how to make puppy dog eyes and wag your tail as a thank you. And what child doesnāt like to get a gold star for doing a good job. I thought it was a great idea for Buddy to add at the end āno scrounging or eating food thatās fallen on the floorā as a reminder that humans donāt do that because this was just pretend.
As an American, and an adult, I liked the added fun fact of how Afternoon Tea came about, since thatās not something I am familiar with. Lord Budster, Buddyās great x16 granddad, was super cute with his bow-tie, monocle and top hat.
Just an observation ~ although I appreciated the catchy title and the cuteness of Buddy, I am not really sure he is a hound breed, but thatās not something a small child would notice or care about.
Overall, a cute book that preschool children would surely enjoy interacting with.
The cover design by Richie Evans and illustrations by Martynas Marchiusm were very well done.
My Arnie is patiently waiting for me to read him a story

Author Bio
I have always loved childrenās books and, after studying various picture book courses, I decided to take the plunge and write my own. Hoping to educate and entertain, as well as involve the young reader, my debut also includes a bit of history. When Iām not writing, I enjoy taking the real Buddy hound on long walks and spending time with my family. I also love to bake, sing and paint but sadly, I have not mastered doing all three at the same time!
