Post Title: A Billionaire Bozo Bulletin!

Hi there! My name is Tucker May and I’ve written a comedic murder mystery novel called Death of a Billionaire. It centers on the murder of the world’s most famous tech mogul, Barron Fisk, and Fisk’s wrongfully accused employee who must scramble to clear his name.

In honor of my fictional dead billionaire, let’s take a look at some of the out-of-touch antics of real world billionaires to get excited about the downfall of Barron Fisk in the book!

Ballmer’s Ball Issues

Sports Owner billionaire Steve Balmer is in hot water with the NBA (and the courts) after allegedly circumventing the league’s rules on paying players. A recent lawsuit claims that Ballmer used a now-defunct company to funnel millions of dollars outside of the NBA’s salary cap to convince a superstar player to join his team. Who needs rules when one has billions of dollars to spend? Morality is for poor people.

Billionaire’s Plans Stall Out — Horse Country Says “Neigh”

Mega-wealthy real estate developer Frank McCourt wanted to snatch 80 acres of pristine land in a Florida equestrian reserve to build a country club playground for his fellow rich folks. But the locals weren’t horsing around. They bucked the billionaire for the second time in a year. A billionaire actually being told no about something? Check the sky for flying farm animals.

Tax Cuts for Those Who Really Need It: Private Jet Owners

A 2025 federal spending bill made it possible for businesses to write off 100% of the purchase price of private jets. It doesn’t apply to planes bought by individuals, but try naming a billionaire who doesn’t have a company to funnel the purchase through. At a time when the government claims that funding medical insurance for senior citizens and veterans is too expensive, we’re publicly subsidizing private jets.

Billionaires Multiply Like Rabbits — Thanks to AI

Artificial Intelligence startups are minting new billionaires at an unprecedented rate. What do these AI companies actually do? Hard to say, aside from sucking up water, burning through massive amounts of electricity and showing up in all the apps on your phone where you never wanted AI in the first place. AI in my calculator app? Who is that for?

698 Billion: The Number of Times I Want to Scream Into My Pillow About Billionaires

$698 billion also happens to be the number of dollars that America’s wealthiest individuals made in the year 2025. Wealth inequality is worse than it was during the Gilded Age, when the term “robber baron” was born. America has more billionaires than any other nation. The top 0.1% of Americans own 24% of the stock market. If this seems messed up to you, that’s because it is!

Now that you have plenty of reason to be upset at the billionaires in America, go ahead and CLICK HERE to pick up your copy of Death of a Billionaire today. It offers biting satire, lighthearted humor and a murder mystery that will keep you guessing right up until the very end. It’ll help you feel better, I promise.

Book blurb:

Ever dream of killing your boss? Alan Benning knows how you feel.

The problem: his billionaire boss actually winds up murdered. And the whole world thinks he did it.

When globetrotting tech billionaire Barron Fisk is found dead on the floor of his swanky Silicon Valley office, all evidence points to Alan.

Alan must venture into the glitzy, treacherous world of tech billionaires to clear his name by sorting through a long list of suspects with motive aplenty. If he can’t find the real culprit, Alan’s going down. The clock is ticking.

Who killed Barron Fisk? The truth will shock— and change— the entire world.

Fans of Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club series, Carl Hiaasen’s tales of high-stakes hijinx, or Ruth Ware’s page-turning mysteries will love Death of a Billionaire.
