ARC Review: The Love Prescription by Aurora Paige

My review: 3.25 ā

This is book #2 in the Holidates series.

Maxwell is a Pharmacist who does extensive research on dementia. He has won the Pharmacist of the Year award and he needs a date for the ceremony.
Vivienne is a pharmaceutical executive who has been trying to get in touch with Maxwell, but he’s been ignoring her messages. When she finds out about the award she sees an opportunity to finally meet him in person to talk.
They both set up a profile on the popular Holidates app, get matched up and make plans to go to Las Vegas together. Neither knows who the other is, but one of them soon figures it out. How do you think the other one feels about being lied to? Yup, you guessed it, but since it’s a novella you don’t have to wait too long for a happily ever after.
The bonus epilogue was a nice wrap up.

This was a quick, insta-lust read that was just okay for me.

I enjoyed the book #1 The Christmas Rental more.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Book blurb: Release date ~ January 31, 2022

Vivienne

Dr. Maxwell Garrido is impossible.

Iā€™ve spent a year trying to arrange meetings with the elusive pharmacist to no avail. Itā€™s my job to recruit the brightest minds in Healthcare. But why did it have to be this arrogant man?

The constant rejection has been a bitter pill to swallow. Yet had fate stepped in with the perfect cure?

Maxwell

Driven and determined, my focus is on my work. Being named Pharmacist of the Year at this yearā€™s National Convention is a proud achievement. While I donā€™t lack female companionship, this event requires a professional. Someone with class and sophistication. Finding Vivi on the Holidates app could be just what the doctor ordered.

Until the truth comes out.

This arrangement needs to stop. But if I walk away from her now, would I ever recover?

I'd love to hear your thoughts
