ARC Review: Just Friends at the Doggy Spa by Elsie Woods

My review: 4⭐

This is book 3 in the Finding Love at the Doggy Spa series

“Every time we meet it’s like I open myself up like a book, and she reads it”

Best friend to Amelia, Rita and brother to Rob, Joey take on the big project of planning Amelia and Rob’s wedding in just 2 weeks. They throw themselves into the task with gusto as Maid of Honor and Best Man. They work really well together, but there’s just one problem ~ they are pining away and crushing on each other, but both are too timid to do anything about it.
Although this is Rita and Joey’s story, I’m glad to see the continuation of Amelia and Rob’s story, as well.

Rita is so lovable with her belly laughing, do anything for her friends persona.
Joey seems like he’d be an all around fun guy to hang out with. He is so sweet with his Mom, too!

I really enjoy this quick, easy, cute, sweet, clean, slow burn, fun, well written series and look forward to more.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Book 1 ~ Faking Christmas Love at the Doggy Spa

Book 2 ~ Hate to Love the Inspector

Book blurb: Release date ~ May 31, 2022

I’m falling for my best buddy. Don’t mind me if I stuff my face with all the sample wedding cake.

Not my wedding cake, just to be clear.

My friend is getting married, and yours truly is the maid of honor. Note the ‘maid’ part.

And Joey – hunky, funny, suave Joseph Buckley – is the best man.

He’s also my “buddy”, or so he calls me. Though he’ll flirt with me for sport like the armageddon is coming.

In my day job, I’m the cool, collected one responsible for settling the puppies down. But Joey has turned me into a giggling mess. To him, we’re just a couple of buddies kidding around.

Until things get a little too close between us. Did that just happen? Did he…? Did I…?

If I don’t tell him how I really feel before our friends’ wedding, I just might lose the best chance I’ve got for forever love.

But is Joey like those crazy pups that never settle down?

Just Friends at the Doggy Spa is full of wholesome heartwarming giggles and a rescue dog who does the rescuing himself!
