My review:

Super cute! Super clean! Super sweet!

Sometimes you just need a sweet Valentine’s Day story in August.

Bea has had a crush on George since she was 7. Unfortunately George does not reciprocate her feelings. Or at least that’s what she thought until he started dropping hints when they spent the day making deliveries together. Could he actually be half in love with her like she is with him? There’s only one problem ~ Daphne has deemed them off limits to each other. She can’t risk her friendship and date her best friends brother. Or can she?

I really loved everything about this friends to lovers story. Every character was likable and fun. George is totally book boyfriend material. He is like the sweetest southern gentleman ever! Those cookies at the end, gah, adorable!! And now I’m craving a blueberry muffin too.

I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more books from Kristen, especially when I need a quick, wholesome read that’ll be sure to make me smile.

Book blurb:

The quirky baker. Her best friend’s off-limits older brother. When sparksā€”and frostingā€”fly between them, it’ll be a Valentine’s Day to remember.

Bea has been half in love with George since the first time she saw him, at seven years old coming off the soccer field with her best friend, Daphne. His southern charm has always been impossible to resist, despite her determination to do just that.

George wants nothing more than to win Bea’s affection, after all these years. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to make her see the truth, even spend a hectic Valentine’s Day locked in a bakery delivery van.

When two stubborn southerners don’t see eye to eye, it’s bound to cause sparks. But if these two can’t see heart to heart, it might just be the worst mistake the small town of Adele, Georgia has ever seen.

If you love small-town romance with heart, friends to lovers, and a cast chock-full of quirky characters, you’ll fall in love with this sweet series in a second flat. Come on down to Georgia, and bring your sweet tea. It’s time to settle in for a while.
