Zoe & Mitch meet at a bar one night. They agree to have one night only with “no emotions, no attachments” and to never see each other again. Flash forward to the next day and guess who now works together. Also, guess who can’t stop thinking about each other.
Zoe has recently returned to Wichita after leaving home 4 years prior. As the only daughter and youngest child of Christian Albright, Zoe has never been able to live her life the way she wants. She’s always been under her controlling fathers thumb ~ which infuriates me. Her father and 4 brothers really bugged me until the very end ~ they were quite maddening.
Mitch has recently moved to Wichita for a new job as a lawyer at the Albright law firm. He doesn’t plan on sticking around for too long, or letting anyone in his life. He has a little bit of a sad secret that takes us a long time to find out what it is. Chapter 19 actually gave me some chills.
I really liked Zoe and Mitch ~ they were both well written characters and really had a fun time together.
Although I didn’t care for the 4 brothers for most of the book, I wouldn’t mind if this was turned into a series following their love lives. And I’ll, also, need Z & M to make cameos to see how they’re doing. Hint, hint ~ Lynn Stevens
Side note ~ How come Zoe just answers the phone without looking at the caller id? She did it multiple times. Thatās just crazy talk.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Neither sees an objection to one night of fun, but some deals need further negotiations.
She only wants a night to forget ā¦
Zoe Albright doesnāt want to be in Wichita. After running away to Chicago, sheās returned home to regroup. Sheās determined to live on her terms despite her fatherās harsh judgement. Zoe takes a job at his law firm in order to appease him, but sheās already got one foot out the door. And sheās tired of being forced into her dadās idea of who she should be. So why not throw all expectations out the window for one night only?
Heās not interested in a relationship ā¦
Mitch Caldwell isnāt in Wichita for anything other than a career opportunity. Itās nothing long term, just a chance to gain experience before he moves on to a new jurisdiction. When he hits a bar the night before starting at his new firm, he has no intention of making a play on the gorgeous blonde who is hearing oral arguments. Until she asks him to make a motion.
After a night of no names and no promises, Mitch arrives at his new job only to discover his one-night stand is his new bossās daughter and his new secretary.
Can they keep their hands to themselves at work, or will they repeat that night of passion?
