What a compelling and magical story!
Katy and her mom, Carol, are best friends. When Carol dies, Katy has lost a piece of herself. They had planned to take a mother/daughter trip to Positano, a place near and dear to Carol’s heart, but never got the chance. To help herself try to come to terms with her grief and failing marriage, Katy decides to take the trip alone.
As Katy eats and drinks her way through the Positano, Capri and Naples she learns more and more about Carol’s life 30 years ago and about herself.
This is a quick, emotional read with realistic descriptions will make you actually think you’re right there in Italy, floating in the ocean right under the rocks of Faraglioni.
