My review:

Gracie & Nikolas
Gracie’s love for her job as Princess Snowflake really comes through on the pages. She is so sweet with the children and as a person. When she arrives at San Glacera for a contest, she wasn’t expecting to enjoy the company of a prince she meets right away. Problem is that she thinks she’s hanging with a fake Prince Charming who is in the contest with her.

Prince Nikolas is the real prince of San Glacera. He meets a lovely princess, but the problem is he thinks she’s an actual princess, not some fake pretender. I liked him okay enough when we first meet him, but then he’s a tool for a little bit, but then he really hooked me when we learn he volunteers at the animal rescue. He wasn’t overly grumpy like I thought he was supposed to be.

This was definitely Hallmarky Christmas vibing with some cute moments. I don’t know how I know this since I don’t think I’ve ever watched a Hallmark movie in my life. But I think this will appeal to those that do, especially this time of year.

Narration notes:
She does mostly great, but this would have benefited from a male narrator.

Iā€™d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve read it.

Book blurb:

She pretends to be a princess at childrenā€™s parties.

But can she melt a real princeā€™s frosty heart?

Get swept away by a Christmas story from Hallmark

and bestselling author Teri Wilsonā€” the queen of royal romance!

ā€œIā€™m Prince Nikolas of San Glacera. Oh, youā€™ve never heard of us? Well, youā€™re not the only one. Our country relies on winter tourism, but weā€™re attracting fewer and fewer visitors. I admit itā€™s a problem. I just donā€™t think the solution is an American who likes to play dress-up.

You see, while I was away on a trip to honor our military, the palace talked my family into holding a contest. The winner gets to play a character in our annual Ice Village festivities and accompany our royal family to holiday events.

And did they at least choose an accomplished actor? Hardly. This woman, Gracie Clark, runs a childrenā€™s party business and performs asā€”I kid you notā€”ā€˜Princess Snowflake.ā€™

Of course, I do respect the fact that she volunteers at childrenā€™s hospitals. I suppose to some, she might have a certain charm… But the whole cheap spectacle is beneath our dignity.

Iā€™m not going to shirk my duty to my kingdom. Iā€™ll go to every event with her. At least, once Christmas is over, sheā€™ll be goneā€¦ā€
