Review: Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover

My review: 4.5ā

Man, oh, man this broad has a way with words. You just get sucked in and before you know it you’ve forgotten to shower and have indented the couch with dirty butt cheeks.
No tears from me this time, but I do see the potential since it’s a heart string yanker.

And just when I think I have enough hall passes ~ in comes another book boyfriend, sorry husband, the list keeps getting longer šŸ¤Ŗ
I šŸ’“ Ledger! He’s a hot hunka tattooed t-ball coaching sweet patient snow cone punch card holder. Diem had him wrapped around her little finger.

I loved Lady Diana, Roman, Ledger’s parents, the dual points of view and the letters Kenna wrote.

You’d have to live under a rock if you didn’t see the ending coming. Very predictable and it was a little too perfect. The big thing we waited the whole book for seemed to go too swiftly.

This one will definitely appeal to fans of CoHo.

TW: driving under the influence resulting in death

Book blurb:

After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughterā€™s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.

The only person who hasnā€™t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kennaā€™s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kennaā€™s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.

The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.

A troubled young mother yearns for a shot at redemption in this heartbreaking yet hopeful story from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover.
