Starts off with a bang, slow going for a while, but picks up towards the end as thrillers do.

We follow the POV’s of:
Sloane & Whit who get married soon after their spouses early demise.
Athena is hired to be Sloane’s caretaker after a surgery.
Rosemary is Sloane’s former mother~in~law.

At first I was mad that we had Athena’s POV because I thought it would give too much away for her ulterior motive but in the end I was happy with how it all played out. Was I surprised? Yes and no, but I don’t want to say too much about that and give anything away.

Overall, there are quite a few unlikable characters (Madelyn was gross), some predictability and some shockers, too. The plot is not unique by any means, but engaging enough.

I’ve read all of this duo’s books, and although I did not write a review for them all my usual rating is a 3, so it seems this one lives up to my expectations for their writing style.

Narration notes ~ fine, but by now we know I like multiple narrators with multiple POV’s, especially if there are main male and female characters. She did adjust her tones for each character, so that made me happy.
