My review:

Carla & Eamon
Carla is living life to the fullest. She’s always on the go traveling all around the world. Her latest trip is to Ireland for her best friends wedding. She meets, Eamon, the best man and they immediately hit it off and head back to his place for some whatnot.

Dementia really makes me sad. Luckily it has not affected my family, so I don’t really know much about it, but I felt the author did a good job bringing realism to it. The flashbacks of the father/daughter relationship were heartwarming. I like that he taught her all the ins and outs of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. There was a bit more steamage in this one then in the previous books ~ I’m not sure what’s up with that, but I didn’t hate it. It was cute, fun and the epitome of YOLO.

Narration:
Sarah Naughton ~ 6 hours 37 minutes ~ well done ~ perfectly listenable at 3x.

Book blurb:

On the road to love, you don’t need a GPS…

Carla Blackā€™s life motto is ā€œhere for a good time, not for a long time.ā€ Sheā€™s been travelling the world on her own in her vintage Jeep Wrangler for nearly a decade, stopping only long enough to replenish her adventure fund. She doesnā€™t do love and she doesnā€™t ever go home.

Eamon Sullivan is a modern-day cartographer who creates digital maps. His work helps people find their way, but heā€™s the one whoā€™s lost his sense of direction. Heā€™s unhappy at work, recently dumped, and his one big dream is stalled outā€”literally.

Fate throws them together when Carla arrives in Dublin for her best friendā€™s wedding and Eamon is tasked with picking her up from the airport. But what should be a simple drive across Ireland quickly becomes complicated with chemistry-filled detours, unexpected feelings, and a chance at love – if only they choose it.
