šŸŽ§ARC Review: The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen

My review: 4.25ā

This author duo knows how to keep you guessing with secrets, lies and twists and grips you from the start with their newest domestic thriller.

Avery is a therapist who has an unconventional method for helping people.
Marissa seeks out the help of Avery to repair her marriage to Matthew after she cheats.

Although I did see one part coming, I was taken by surprise a couple of times and that always thrills me.

I love that it was told in the dual perspective between Avery and Marissa and Karissa and Marin were spot on as narrators.

*Thanks to Netgalley, MacMillan Audio and the authors for an advance audiobook. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*

Book blurb: Release date ~ March 8, 2022

If Avery Chambers canā€™t fix you in 10 sessions, she wonā€™t take you on as a client. Her successes are phenomenal–she helps people overcome everything from domineering parents to assault–and almost absorb the emptiness she sometimes feels since her husbandā€™s death.

Marissa and Mathew Bishop seem like the golden couple–until Marissa cheats. She wants to repair things, both because she loves her husband and for the sake of their 8-year-old son. After a friend forwards an article about Avery, Marissa takes a chance on this maverick therapist, who lost her license due to controversial methods.

When the Bishops glide through Averyā€™s door and Marissa reveals her infidelity, all three are set on a collision course. Because the biggest secrets in the room are still hidden, and itā€™s no longer simply a marriage thatā€™s in danger.

I'd love to hear your thoughts
