My review:

Joanne & Richard are married with a new baby. Richard has a 20 year old daughter from a previous marriage, Chloe, who comes and stays with them while taking a break from school. Chloe is a nightmare and really acting like a pill to her new step-mom. But she’s the perfect princess when daddy is around.

The tension is super high in this domestic/psychological thriller. We’ve got some unreliable narration happening here and it was hard to know who to believe. I was kept engaged and couldn’t wait until we got back to the prologue scene. The ending was quite an interesting one.
I’d be interested in reading more from this author in the future.

Narration:
Penelope Rawlins ~ 8 hours 25 minutes ~ fine job for Joanne, but meh with her Chloe voice.

*Thanks to Nicola Sanders, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audio copy. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*

Iā€™d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve read it.

Book blurb:

Someone inside your house wants you dead, but no one believes youā€¦

Joanne knows how lucky she is. Richard is a wonderful husband, Evie is the most gorgeous baby girl, they live in a beautiful houseā€¦ Life couldnā€™t be better.

Until Richardā€™s twenty-year-old daughter Chloe turns up. Chloe hasnā€™t spoken to her father since the day he married Joanne two years ago. But Chloe wants to make peace. Sheā€™ll even move in for a few weeks to help Joanne with the new baby.

It sounds perfect, but when things happen that make Joanne feel like sheā€™s losing her mind, she begins to wonder: Is Chloe really here to help? Or has Joanne made a terrible mistake by letting her move in?

And is it too late to ask her to leave?

Perfect for fans of Frieda McFadden, Sue Watson and Shalini Boland, Donā€™t Let Her Stay is a totally addictive psychological thriller with a twist that will shock you!
