My review:

Book 4 in the Getting Shipped series ~ I suppose fine as a standalone, but I haven’t been disappointed yet so why not read them all since the characters do interconnect somewhat.

Featuring ~ dual 1st person POV, best friends sister, brothers best friend, off limits, forbidden, friends to lovers, secret relationship, small town, no steamage

Shannon & Duke have been secret crushing on each other for years, but neither thought they could take a chance on each other. Shannon has a sad family story which is why her and brother, Chris, are so close and he’s very protective of her.

There’s a nice small town feel with a great cast of side characters. I don’t have any siblings, so I’ll never really fully understand the whole off limits/forbiddenness, but I can see why they wanted to wait to tell Chris until after he came home from his deployment.
They were very cute together. I loved Duke’s dream and how he went after it. The epilogue was a nice wrap up of what they accomplished.

Aidan & Mallory are still my favorite, but I enjoyed this installment in the series and look forward to the next one that will follow Jayme, Shannon’s roommate.

Narration:
Amy McFadden & Will Damron ~ 11 hours 53 minutes ~ they have narrated the whole series and do a fine job.

*Thanks to Savannah Scott, Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the audio copy. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*

Book blurb:

I am finally over my crush on Duke. Completely done.

Dukeā€™s always been like a big brother to me ā€¦ a big brother with abs of steel, a heart of gold, and those dimples that make my heart rate double whenever he smiles.

As far as Duke’s concerned, Iā€™ll always be his best friend Chrisā€™ little sisterā€”the little girl who dunked his Darth Vader action figure in Elmers glue and glitter.

Even if Duke noticed me, it wouldnā€™t matter. Iā€™m so off limits, I may as well be wearing an outfit made entirely of caution tape. We both know Chris would enlist a special ops tactical team to hunt Duke down if he ever pursued anything beyond friendship with me.

Good thing Iā€™m over Duke. One hundred percent attraction-free, thatā€™s me. Well, mostly ā€¦ until I accidentally send him one of my usual scrambled texts (thank you, autocorrect) ā€¦ and he thinks Iā€™m hitting on him.

Iā€™m mortified enough to momentarily consider relocating someplace obscure like Greenland. I can never show my face around town again. Iā€™ll buy a parka and an ice pick and learn to love fish. A lot.

But then Duke answers my text ā€¦
Am I dreaming? Heā€™s not mad. Heā€™s not even making fun of me.
In fact, it seems like he might be flirting back

I guess I might not be completely over this crush after all.

Just donā€™t tell my brother.
